The hop-on-hop-off tour has two terminals. Terminal A: Termini Marsala and Terminal B: Largo Di Villa Peretti both are close to Termini - Rome's main station.

The stops included in the tour are:

Stop 2 - Santa Maria Maggiore: Dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, this basilica is often used by the Pope. The church contains many ancient mosaics and some beautiful frescoes. The medieval bell tower is the highest in Rome, at 75 meters.

Stop 3 – Colosseo: An architectural and engineering wonder of the ancient world, the Colosseum bears witness to both the glory and brutality of the Roman Empire. (This stop is closed on Sundays and public holidays.)

Stop 4 - Circo Massimo: With a seating capacity of 250,000 people, Circo Massimo was once the largest stadium of ancient Rome, used for gladiator fights, processions or chariot races. This stop is closed on Sundays and public holidays.

Stop 5 - Piazza Venezia: Situated in the heart of Rome, this square is walking distance from some of the most famous monuments such as the Forum Romanum, the Pantheon and Campidoglio.

Stop 6 – Vaticano: Your stop for Vatican City and the wealth of fabulous artworks in the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Also the stop for St Peter's Square and Basilica.

Stop 7 - Fontana di Trevi: Beautiful Baroque Trevi – one of the world’s most famous fountains - depicts the sea god, Oceanus, riding a shell-shaped chariot drawn by two horses.

Stop 7b - Piazza Di Spagna: Only on Sundays and Bank Holidays : This stop is at the bottom of the Spanish Steps close to the Column of the Immaculate Conception.

Stop 8 - Piazza Barberini: A large piazza named after the nearby Palazzo Barberini. The Palazzo has a famous helicoidal staircase, magnificent frescoes and one of the most important art collections in Italy. This stop also gives easy access to the pedestrian walkway to the Spanish Steps.

You can leave the tour at whichever stop you wish.

The itinerary for the Tour may change on Sundays and Public Holidays (Easter). Stops affected frequently include Colosseo, Circo Massimo and Trevi. All attractions continue to open, however traffic will be restricted. It is very easy to walk to any attractions from our alternative routes. All changes will be identified on the day of travel. Please check with the tour escort onboard for more details.

Rome Municipality Authority will impose new regulations and restricted access for all hop-on hop-off tours in the city of Rome. It will impact the number of stops available. These changes are beyond our control and imposed without notice by the local Rome Municipality Authority. The exact itinerary will be advised on the day of travel by the staff on board.

We try to find a hop on hop off bus in every city we visit - it's a fantastic way to get a snapshot of your visit and decide where you want to concentrate your time. We bought the 48 hour pass and it was so easy to use. Staff are plentiful, helpful and make it fun. 8 different languages. We used it as our taxi service. First day we took it all the way around - and the the next day used it as our travel to chosen destinations. Just be aware that Rome takes Sundays seriously. It's a day of relaxing and family, and many roads are closed to vehicles. That changed our trip views a little from Sunday and Monday - but it was still all brilliant.

We are avid users of HOHO city tours. We were only in Rome for 4 hours and did the HOHO tour without getting off due to time constraints. We felt were got a "taste of Rome" using HOHO. It is easy is super easy for travelers who like to take advantage of seeing the sights & getting around the city easily & quickly. Highly recommend their city tours...we used them in Barcelona as well & were equally satisfied. It worked especially well for us as we were on a cruise.
