Spend a day in Salzburg, famed for its old-world glamour, made all the more striking by the majestic backdrop of the snow-capped Alps. It is, of course, the home town of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and you will take a trip to his birthplace, his residence, the streets he walked and the cafes he drank in.'
Salzburg is also one of the most popular ‘movie tourism’ destinations in the world and was the setting for the much-loved The Sound of Music. On this tour, you will see many of the locations used in the film.
This tour is divided into two parts. The first part is a guided orientation tour of the historic Old Town lasting between 90 minutes and 2 hours. The highlights of which are:
After the guided tour, you have free time for approx. 3 hours to visit sites of your choice assisted by maps and advice provided by your tour guide. Everyone then meets up at an agreed time and place for the return train journey back to Munich.
