Discover the wonders of Split and its surroundings on a lively panoramic bus tour with informative audio commentary in 6 languages! See some of the most significant landmarks of Split including Bacvice beach, sports facilities, and museums. Sit back and relax as you’re introduced to the best of the city without worrying about hiring guides, transport or studying maps.
The bus tour will be followed by a guided walk of the streets of Diocletian's palace, an ancient palace built for the Roman emperor Diocletian at the turn of the fourth century AD and now a UNESCO Heritage Site. It is the only ruin in the world where people still live. The white stone walls don’t just encompass the last traces of an ancient civilization. There are also numerous shops, bars, cafes, hotels, and houses. You will also be visiting places which can be found in the city's pedestrian zone.
After Split, it’s time to discover the medieval fortress of Klis, located on top of a hill, just a few kilometers outside of Split. Explore the mysteries and secluded spots of Diocletian’s, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. This 1,700-year-old palace was used as one of the filming locations in the epic fantasy Game of Thrones. The fortress also offers a stunning panoramic view of Split along with the mountains and islands which surround it.
Upon your return to Split, you can relax for a while before joining us in the afternoon for a trip to ancient Salona. Once the largest Roman city in this region, today it is an archaeological site filled with the last vestiges of the once-great Roman civilization. Discover the ancient Roman ruins of Salona, which was the capital of the Roman province of Dalmatia 2000 years ago. Walk past the ruins of ancient basilicas, baptisteries and visit the amphitheatre and reimagine a majestic empire that came to an end as Christianity spread its wings across the continent.
