City Sightseeing Athens: Hop-On, Hop-Off Bus Tour

We thoroughly enjoyed using the hop-on-hop-off bus to travel around Athens. We have used this service before in London and it lived up to our expectations. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The bus is efficient, and runs regularly ensuring that you don't wait too long at stops. The heat in Athens can be brutal and although the point may be to ride in an open top bus we found ourselves avoiding to open top busses and rather waiting for busses with the canopy tops to protect us from the sun. The information provided by the guide through the earphones was super insightful and provided a lovely additional learning element to our travels. I would highly recommend this as an option for Athens tourists to not only get around easily, learn along the way but to also get additional ideas of things to see and do while you're there. We had the 48hour ticket and did the full city red route the 1st day and the purple/orange beach route on the 2nd day.
