Information for Cruise Passengers:
Cruise guests whom are arriving into Frihavn will have access to the City Sightseeing shuttle bus collecting guests to join the Mermaid route at the Little Mermaid. A shuttle will be offered to return guests to their ship which departs from City Sightseeing bus stop 6 Little Mermaid. This service will only be free of charge with a City Sightseeing Copenhagen ticket and guests will be required to show their cruise identification as Frihavn is a restricted port. Please allow yourself plenty of time to return to the ship. Cruise guests whom are arriving into Langeliniekaj will be able to join the Mermaid route through its tour every half-hour. The Mermaid route starts and finished at stop 1 which will take guests approx. 45 minutes to get back to the ship.
The buses were good and on time. The drivers were friendly and polite and gave good commentary on occasion. And the audio commentary in multiple languages was also quite...Rajesh shah, India
...Jean-Claude Robichaud, Canada
...Rhian Heaton, United Kingdom
We normally enjoy the hop on hop off bus experiences as it's a great way to get an introduction to a new city. The audio guides work well and the routes usually pick up the main sights so that you can return later and explore in more depth.
This Copenhagen hop on hop off was a little disappointing as only 1 of the 3 routes were working (it being Christmas). Also the ticket allowed for a 72 period. As we were only in Copenhagen for 1 day it would have been good to get a reduced deal for the reduced service.
A learning point for next time?!!
There are competing red buses that all say "Hop On, Hop Off" and that caused quite a bit of confusion when boarding a red bus which might not be the Stromma.com red bus. Wish there was a better way of identifying which bus we paid for. Had a long wait at the cruise ship (30 min.) before we left the dock area, as many passengers had tickets for the other red bus. The transfer from the Little Mermaid back to the ship went smoothly and was easy to locate.
It is not the Hop on Hop off named bus service it is Stromma Hopon Hopoff and that needs to be on the tickets!!! It was a waste of time looking for the bus company
