Your tram will take approximately one-and-a half hours to travel through the historic districts of Lisbon.

Some parts of the structure date back to the 6th century! You will also pass Santa Maria Maior de Lisboa, the cathedral of Lisbon and the oldest church in the city. Construction began in 1147 and the building has undergone many changes over the years. It is now a mix of several architectural styles.
Take your time and observe life taking shape while you travel across the city. Watch the city’s inhabitants chatting in doorways or going about their daily business. You will enjoy the cozy village atmosphere of medieval Alfama with its maze of alleys, white washed houses, lines of washing and balconies with potted plants. You will also pass through Mouraria, yet another ancient quarter of the city with more beautiful street pattern. It is said that the Moors withdrew into this district after the Portuguese conquered Lisbon.
Experience the contrast, as you travel through sophisticated Chiado, an elegant and charming neighborhood with theaters, bookshops, cafes, and expensive shops. Your city tram ride also includes wealthy Lapa, the diplomatic quarter, with its grand embassy buildings and splendid mansions.
