We are a young married couple on our first overseas trip. We were quite nervous about getting around a foreign city but had absolutely nothing to worry about. Big Bus were friendly, easy to find and stopped at every major tourist site around London. Busses came every 10 minutes and hosts were at all major stops to help you. The hosts also sell discounted tickets to the various tourists spots, which means you don't have to line up when you get there- saved us heaps of time! The commentary was wonderful (live in English and available on headset in 8 other languages) and the guides really knew their history and trivia. We never used the public transport or caught a taxi- the bus took us everywhere we needed to go. Also, you can extend your ticket to 2 days for only 5 pounds more- I would highly recommend this also. The last bus leaves most stops at 6pm and this last service can be quite crowded. This was the only time that the trips were not seemless, however I would still highly recommend the tour for anyone going to London

The Hop On Hop Off Bus was quite good. I would recommend it for both Amsterdam and Paris. We used the Open L Bus in Paris and it took us two hours to get from the Arc to Notre Dame. Our friends used the Hop On/Off Bus and got there in 20 minutes.
