    Visit Scotland’s top attraction, the Royal Yacht Britannia which served the British Royal family for 44 years. See The Queen’s floating Royal residence which has travelled over a million miles and presently has been moored permanently in Leith, Edinburgh. The entrance ticket lets you explore the elegant State Apartments and Royal Bedrooms, the relaxing Sun Lounge and the Royal Deck Tea Room, as well as the life below decks in the Sick Bay and the Laundry.

    On the yacht, audio guides are available in 27 languages which give insight into the private and public lives of the Royals, having hosted names like Prince Charles, Princess Diana, Nelson Mandela and Winston Churchill.

    Please remember that the last admission to Royal Yacht Britannia on December 24 is 2:30pm and December 31 is 3pm.


    The Royal Yacht Britannia is closed on 25 December and 1 January.

    Any guest booking senior rates for the Yacht may be asked to provide ID on the day of the activity. Senior rates are valid for those aged 60 and over.

    If you are travelling by a cruise to join the hop-on, hop-off bus, you might want to keep the following details in mind:

    • You will need alternative methods of transportation to reach Stop Number 1 - Waverley Place.

    • Don’t forget to check the exact location of Edinburgh port before you arrive.

    • If you are coming into Leith, you can take a shuttle from the terminal to Waterloo Place, which is an approximately 6-minute walk from Stop Number 1.

    • If you are coming into South Queensferry (Hounds Point), you can take a shuttle from the terminal to Charlotte Square, which is an approximately 10-minutes walk from Stop Number 2.

    • Finally, if you are coming into Newhaven, you can take a local bus to central Edinburgh which will take you approximately 30 minutes.
