Overview

Explore the UNESCO world heritage listed archaeological site of Pompeii and visit Mt Vesuvius whose volcanic eruption 2000 years back destroyed Pompeii. Step back in time with a guided tour of the ruins of Pompeii and visit the top of Mount Vesuvius through the picturesque Vesuvius National Park. Enjoy a tour that combines history and archaeology with majestic volcanic landscapes, lush woods and pine forests!

You will be picked up from your hotel at the scheduled time in the morning for the Pompeii and Vesuvius tour.

You will be driven to the ruins of Pompeii, a UNESCO heritage site that was once a thriving Roman city that met its cataclysmic end after the volcanic eruption of Mt Vesuvius in 79 AD.

Explore the excavation site which was buried under volcanic debris for over 1600 years. Pompeii was once a bustling city with a huge theatre for gladiatorial fights, temples of worship, luxurious Roman villas decorated with brightly painted frescoes and marvelous mosaics and highly mechanised waterway systems.

See the Roman bakery, the Temple of Apollo, the Roman Forum, an ancient supermarket and an old cemetery. See the daunting plastic death casts of people who were caught in the eruption.

Enjoy a lunch break with pizza in a local traditional restaurant. Shop and drive up to 1000 meters and reach the parking for buses. Head to the Vesuvius National Park to see Mt Vesuvius that destroyed the town of Pompeii nearly two thousand years ago and yet rendered it eternal. Hike to the crater and see the charming bay of Naples from the eastern to western side. Discover the spectacular landscapes of the Mount Vesuvius volcano and explore the picturesque national park.

At the end of the tour, you will be driven back to Naples and dropped off to your hotel in the evening.

Choose between a small group, standard group and VIP small group tour and customize your sightseeing experience as per your convenience. The regular group tour has up to 40 people, the small group tour has up to 18 people and the VIP small group tour has up to 8 people.
