    Step back in time and uncover the intriguing c.1,100-year history of Prague Castle, once the residence of Bohemian monarchs and the current seat of the Czech Republic’s Head of State. The hour long walking tour, led by an expert guide, will take you on an immersive journey across this UNESCO World Heritage Site - filled with palaces and ecclesiastical structures built in a variety of architectural styles, from Romanesque to Gothic, for a magical experience. 

    The trail also includes a visit to the charming o the St. Vitus Cathedral, an architectural masterpiece dominating the equally captivating Prague skyline. Central to country’s cultural and religious heritage, this is the resting site of country’s cultural and religious heritage as well as the former coronation site of Bohemian monarchs. 

    NOTE: The Walking Tour does not include entry inside the Castle, museums or exhibitions. The trail includes the gardens (summers only), courtyard and St. Vitus Castle.

    Please remember that although this tour is available to all, only partial wheelchair access is available. Buses are not fully equipped but wheelchairs can be collapsed down and stored on the bus. Guests would need to walk 3 steps on each bus, however, our local partners are available to provide assistance if necessary.

    Our local partners do everything in their power to ensure the tours runs to schedule. However, Prague is a functioning city and weather, traffic, road closures and events may occasionally cause disruption.

    Please remember that the Prague Castle Walking Tour includes entry only to the courtyard, St. Vitus Cathedral and the gardens (summers only). The ticket does not include admission to the museums or exhibitions.

    • I like to hop on and off buses as you can get a different perspective of the place you are visiting and can help to orientate you on arrival. What I didn't realise was that the large tour buses are unable to go into the centre of Prague as they are too big and therefore may have chosen a mini bus tour or some other type of smaller transport had I been aware of this.
