Overview
The Official Sydney Opera House Guided Tour offers a live guide who will take you behind the scenes, sharing untold stories and funny anecdotes. You'll get to explore the stunning cathedral interiors and learn about the rich history of this iconic landmark.

Your guide will bring to life the amazing stories behind this miracle of architecture and engineering. Working with new, rich audio-visual components, where images are projected onto the fabric of the building, your guide will take you on an exhilarating journey, engrossing you in a story to rival any opera plot with its dramatic twists and turns. Some 1,500 performances, from opera to circus, rock and cabaret, are staged each year to audiences of around 1.5 million.
The tour ends in the Box Office Foyer. At the end of the tour, you will have the opportunity to purchase a photo memento in an exclusive Sydney Opera House memory book. In this book, you will also be given access to unlimited digital copies of your exclusive tour photos.

Always keep a photo ID handy for security checks.
Access to individual theatres is subject to availability and may be limited due to performances, rehearsals, and other events.
You may have to climb approximately 300 steps; we recommend comfortable shoes.
Large bags and suitcases are not allowed inside the venue for security reasons.
Videography is prohibited during performances to respect the artists. There may be restrictions on photography in certain areas.
To avoid disruptions, it is recommended to switch off your mobile phone during the duration of the tour.
