Overview

Enjoy a whale-watching cruise and a visit to Sydney’s Taronga Zoo with this fantastic combo.

Whale Watching Cruise:

The cruise departs from Circular Quay at 10 am. Board a catamaran with two passenger decks and spacious outdoor and indoor views. Cruise through the entrance of Sydney Harbour while enjoying informative commentary and spotting Humpback & Southern Right Whales. In case you don’t spot a whale, you can take the cruise again - for free!

Sydney is a great place for whale watching. Every year, between late May and late November, thousands of humpbacks and other whales migrate along the Australian coastline to their feeding and breeding grounds. Whale watchers from Sydney are able to catch the whales on both the winter migration northwards (late May to August) and the spring migration southwards (September to November)

The majestic humpbacks are the most exciting whales to watch because they often leap right out of the water, a behavior known as ‘breaching’. The cruise ends at Circular Quay.

Taronga Zoo Admission:

Taronga Zoo is nestled on the shores of the world’s most stunning harbour. Taronga Zoo has the largest native and exotic collection in New South Wales. Highlights include the world-famous Free Flight Bird and Seal Show, and the chance to be photographed next to koalas and giraffes.

You can have your photographs taken at an additional cost, with kangaroos, wallabies, birds, wombats, and echidna as well as over 200 animals in the "Creatures of the Wollemi" exhibit.
