Be astounded by the local legends, spectacular sights, and curious culture of this incredible archipelago on this 6-day guided tour.

Itinerary

Day 1:

Meet your guide in Gate J and Gate K at the Edinburgh Bus Station on St Andrew Square and hop aboard your comfortable Mercedes mini coach to kick-start your tour!

Head north into the Highlands and make the first stop at the historic village of Dunkeld. Take this opportunity to enjoy a short walk through the forest that opens up to some majestic waterfalls!
As you continue to head north, the route takes you to the Grampian Mountains to the Spey Valley where you take a break and tuck into some delicious lunch.
A trip to Scotland is incomplete without a visit to the famous Loch Ness! Keep your eyes peeled for the famous Nessie and be sure to take pictures of this stunning loch. Also visit the impressive waterfalls at Corrieshalloch Gorge before you arrive in the West Coast fishing port of Ullapool for your overnight stay.

Day 2:
Kick-start your day with a morning ferry from Ullapool for a scenic and tranquil two hour sail along Loch Broom, past the Summer Isles, then out across the Minch to finally arrive at Stornoway – the main town on Lewis and capital of the Outer Hebrides. If you’re lucky you may even catch a glimpse of dolphins, whales and seabirds during the crossing!
Head next to the North West coast in the afternoon and take the time to explore the historic old “blackhouse” before heading to the lighthouse at the very north tip of the island – the ‘Butt of Lewis’!  
Thereafter, head to Stornoway where you spend the night.
Day 3:
Begin the day by exploring some of the primitive and ancient remains on the island! Make your first stop at Carloway and admire the circular stone fort or Broch followed by a visit to more traditional crafting communities like Gearrannan and Shawbost. You find more mysterious ancient stone circles in Callanish.
In the afternoon, unwind at the fine sandy beaches at Bhaltos in the remote district of Uig. Behold the stunning views of the Western Isles at its finest, complete with dramatic sea cliffs, rugged hills and verdant greens all around.
Thereafter, head to Stornoway where you spend the night again.
Day 4:
Depart from the wild moorlands of Lewis and head towards the majestic mountainous region of Harris. In addition to being home to the highest mountains in the Outer Hebrides, the region is also famous for its locally produced tweed cloth, so take this opportunity to try on a Harris Tweed jacket!
Behold the stunning white sands of Luskentyre and spend the morning exploring South Harris. Thereafter, stop for lunch in the small port of Tarbet and tuck into delicious local delicacies.
Then catch the late afternoon ferry to Skye and feast your eyes on some of the most incredible views of nature all around.
Day 5:
Choose between a range of sites to explore in Skye with help and insight from your expert guide. You may choose between heading north to the Quiraing mountain pass to enjoy a walk through Skye’s spectacularly scenic sites or visit the geological wonder of the Kilt Rock which is made of basalt columns with waterfall cascading over the cliffs.
Alternately, after lunch, you may explore the most westerly point of Skye at the Neist Point lighthouse or visit the ancient structure of the Dunvegan Castle which was once the ancestral seat of Clan MeLeod.
Day 6:

After crossing the Skye Bridge, explore the Eilean Donan Castle—a classic Scottish scene on a loch. The Pass under Britain's tallest mountain, Ben Nevis, often hidden in clouds. Your guide will share the history of Glencoe, a tragic site in Scottish history, amid stunning mountains.

As you enter the Lowlands, savour the hilly views on your way to Edinburgh, where you arrive in the early evening.
